Unique Pavé Set Diamonds Under Center Diamond

This ring has a really unusual mounting that holds the center diamond. I think it looks like an artist's conception of a beehive with diamonds. It's not visible from the top view, but the side view really shows off how unique it is. I was worried at first when I saw the design, but I really like it now. It catches the light really well on the side, allowing the little diamonds on the side of the center diamond to look like a disco ball, throwing out all sorts of sparks of light in every direction. The gold on the main body of the ring is 18 karat yellow gold, but we used platinum on the diamond disco mounting to hold the center diamond.
