This is a rare heart shaped diamond. We carry them for the ultra romantic that wants to say more with a diamond. This diamond is 1.23 carats and is colorless. We can set it in any type of mounting you want from a simple solitaire to a custom design that you come up with. In the past ten years, we have only designed two or three engagement rings with heart shaped diamonds. It's really hard to cut a heart shape from a piece of rough diamond. Most heart shapes may have started out as wide pear shaped diamonds, but the diamond cutter found an inclusion so large right at the top edge they felt they had to cut that inclusion out to come up with a nearly flawless heart shaped.
