Make a Smaller Diamond Important

The challenge here was to make a smaller family diamond into a beautiful, contemporary style.  Our client brought in several pictures of rings she liked with small marquise diamonds, but she wanted a larger look and wanted to make her center diamond look important.  We combined the photos into a cohesive look and added some genuine rubies on the side to give some definition to the ring design.  The result was better than I ever imagined.

The ring takes on a totally modern look, made in platinum with the family diamond in the center.
